      Thumbs up

Can anyone describe any ways to help out better with dream recall? Also, I was wondering if anyone has ever experimented and/or been successful with the 61 point method.

Try auto-suggestion (say over and over before you go to bed that you'll remember your dreams, and remember this thought as you fall asleep)? Have a consistent sleep schedule? Stay still and don't open your eyes when you wake up? Try those, along with keeping a dream journal, if you haven't made one already.

61 points... Are too hard for me to remember. In such a relaxed state of mind, I'd find it hard to recall so many bits of information... In order. I tried, but couldn't make it to #15 in practice. Instead, I just relax each body part, from toe to head. Much easier, more intuitive.

I see this is your first post. Welcome to Dream Views! =D

Dream journals are definitely the biggest aid to dream recall. If you remember any dreams at all right now, you probably won't even need to try anything else to boost your recall. When you write down your dreams when you wake up, it strengthens your memory of them, and as you write, other bits of dreams are recalled in the process. And, since you're making an effort to remember your dreams every morning, you slowly get better at it, and begin to remember more and more.

You only need a few more minutes to write in a dream journal, If you can, try moving your sleep schedule back ten minutes, so you go to sleep ten minutes earlier, and wake up ten minutes earlier, then you have time to write in your dream journal. If you can't do that, some people have had success with just trying to fix their dreams in memory in the morning, and writing them down at the next possible time, although it wouldn't work quite as well.
