DEILD - Dream Exit Induced Lucid Dream Tutorial

DEILD is a very effective tehnique created by Klace. So all the copyright for the technique goes to him. I made this tutorial because there was none for DEILD.
      So here we go.

      1. Wake up!
If you want to use the DEILD technique it is recommended to wake up after every dream you have! So, you are asking yourself: "What? What is he saying. I go to sleep and wake up. I dont wake up.". Well, fact is, every human has about 6 dreams a night. And wakes up after each of them. You just dont remember it. You know. Have you ever tried talking to someone while he was sleeping? He would react. But if you asked him about the conversation in the morning, they wouldnt know about it.

      1.a) Using self-suggestion
When you go to sleep and close your eyes etc. Start saying to yourself "I will wake up after every dream tonight".
Repeat this untill you fall asleep. If any other thought crosses your mind, just put more force into it. You have to say
and repeat this / or a simmilar sentence and really mean it. It wont work if you dont. But all this still doesent
guarantee a wake-up after every dream.

      1. b) Wake up call
Well this is more effective. But youll need someone who will wake you up. If your young and your mother wakes you
up for school thats perfect. But remember, this will only wake you up in the morning and not after every dream. Still
works though. If your married / have a bf, and if he wakes you up, its the same story. If your alone, well then try to
use an alarm clock that only rings ONCE and you DONT HAVE TO stop it.. It should stop ringing/waking you up
      automatically.

      1. c) Visualize contributed by: Bushido --> Thanks!
When youre in bed and going to sleep. Visualize yourself waking up from a dream and going into SP. Visualize as clearly as possible and try not to be distracted by random thoughts.

      1. d) others
Use anything you like for waking up after a dream / in the night that DOESENT envolve MOVING!

      2.) Moving/Opening your eyes

After you wake up, dont move, really, dont. Just dont. I cant really say much here, except DONT MOVE! Say to yourself before going to bed "When I wake up I will not move" or something simmilar. The same goes for opening your eyes. Dont. Try to remember when you wake up not to open your eyes. Use self-suggestion.

      3.) Lets DEILD

Ok, this part is (for me) the hardest. DONT FALL ASLEEP! This isnt WILD, you are not awake for 5 minutes. You keep lying in bed. Your mind will be very sleepy. Try to count while waiting for the dream. Count sheep. Do math. Do anything just dont fall asleep. I find counting the most effective method. But try not to count like this "1 ...... 3 ...... 65 ..... 1 .... BAM youre asleep". Try to focus on counting really hard.

Well, I hope you learned something from my short DEILD tutorial!

      Good luck!

I think Klace is in the middle of making a tutorial so im sure this'll help him.

Not falling asleep is my greatest problem but i haven't tried counting yet so i'll try that to night thanks. I normally just focus on the dream i want to have.

Just to add to the list of methods for waking up; what helped me was to visualise myself dreaming and then waking up whithout moving or opening my eyes. I then visualised myself going into SP and having a lucid dream. I went through the whole thing a couple of times before i went to sleep making it as vivid as possible. It worked great for me I had did a deild that same night!!

so by just laying there consciously awake the dream will appear infront of me? i think i almost had one of these
how long am i supposed to wait though? if im not mistaken, between each dream there are 90 minutes, so unless i wake up from a long dream i am going to wait for a long time, no?
and don't you have to go through the transition to a sleeping state since you woke up?
