      Unable to peirce WILD vail

Hey everyone, I've been trying to WILD for about a week now.

Everytime I come really close to becoming lucid, the latest experiance especially, I'm unable to peirce the vail that separates the real world from the dream world. I feel my body going numb, hear sounds (toy laser gun going off, airplane in the distance), no consious effort in breathing, as well as getting HIs.

I even daydream where I'm completely immerced in that particular thought or scene. Here's the problem:
It seems that everytime I go off on one of these day dream trips and feel myself sinking deeper and deeper into "sleep", I swallow and and somehow lose the feeling that I was about to enter a dream. I recover, day dream again, swallow, and the same thing repeats itself.

Generally I feel myself getting close to the vail, but then not having any means to transfer into the dream.

And if you do suceed to peirce this "vail", is it just like opening your eyes to a dream, or do you just sink into it ?(like an old man into a jacuzzi )

for me, i just sunk into it. seeker described it like falling, i described it as being sucked into a t.v., then having the t.v. turned on, though i think falling is a better description . the problem is that you are getting caught up in these day dreams, you need to keep your head clear and not get to immersed in anything. the time when i did a really good WILD- i got caught up in an intense day dream, then i snapped back into awareness, then i immediately went into a WILD, which was a lot different than the day dream.

btw, could a more experienced LD'er clarify if that was HI or just imagination?

So what you're saying is that when my mind starts drifting off into a day-dream, I should gently try and pull myself out of it...?
Is my goal to get caught up in a day-dream that eventually developes into a WILD, or do I try and keep my mind as clear as possible untill I fall into the LD.

Would it really be that simple, just waiting for the LD to kick in, or is there some sort of image that I concentrate on that will guide me into the LD?

here check out this link: http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2048

this tutorial says to immerse yourself in HI that involves all the senses, and i think thats a good idea. your experience was more along the lines of losing awareness and becoming involved with HI that would mess you up (i think)

if i were you id drink a glass of water before you go to bed, it will help with the swallowing. or keep it next to your bed in case you lose concentration because you were thirsty.

All you can do is keep trying. It took me months to learn how and they are still elusive.

My last one was strange, I could feel myself entering the LD state and then it began to fade.
I began to tense up and force it which made it fade even quicker. But when I let go, man it was like a strong current just picked my up and sucked me in.

Just try to remain passivly aware and not get too tense.
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

If you can stay conscious during the daydreams that is what you want to do, and it will get you into a dream fast. Problem is most of the time if you get caught up in them you will fall asleep.
