One thing I can't do in lucid dreams.. help?

Even in non-lucid dreams I can't do it. If lucid means aware and a fully vivid dream then that's what I just had. I could fly, I could do almost anything. I couldn't run though, there was no way for me to move faster other than flying. Why is this? I have had many lucid dreams and I remember every single one of them, even my daily dreams, and I've never been able to go very fast at all. I personally believe that this is a mind block that is being caused from something like worry, but what is it?

      Edit:

In most of my dreams I wake up in my house and I am aware that it is a dream.. I move very slowly like something is pulling me back, and I always jump out from my belcony to escape.. not in panic though.. it's very cool what I see outside every time I do it. After that I can fly, do whatever I want 'cept run.

I read somewhere about a pill visualization technique. I'm not sure who originally posted it, but a search might reveal that.

      Here's what I remember:

      1. Imagine a pill. Picture its size, shape, texture, color, type, and weight.
      2. Name your pill and decide on its effects and side-effects.
      3. Imagine exactly what this pill will do for you and how you will react to it.
      4. Visualize yourself taking this pill and achieving the desired effect
      5. Now reach into your pocket and grab the pill that's been there the whole time.
      6. Take the pill and your problems will be solved.

You could even try taking an existing medication in a dream, but I'm not sure how that would turn out (ex. speed).

When imagining the effects of the pill, try and make it specific and not braud or all-encompassing.

I hope this works for you and props to whomever posted this method.

I haven't actually tried it myself, but it makes sense.

Strangely enough I had the same problem with running; like slowly wading through waistdeep water. I found out that if I turn around and run BACKwards I seem to go Rediculously fast. IK wonder how I even found out. maybe it works for you too: the reversed logics of dreaming. Try running backwards.

Oh I hate that when you try to take of running but it feels like your whole body has been weighted down, like your stuck in cement, etc. I notice this becomes apparent when I am soon to wake up not necessarily within the next few seconds, but in a few minutes I will wake up and I start to move very slowly and I don't really know how to get around it.

You could stop what you are doing close your eyes (or leave them open) and spin around in circles really fast and then see if that solves your problem . Or you could stop and fly off and land somewhere else and see if the problem is solved. And my last bit of advice is to focus (not so much that you wake up) on what you want to do start of slow with a walk and gradually go into a sprint and see if you can do it. Also watch you are doing.

Yeah, in all of my dreams, whenever I try and run it's always feels as if it's through water. But those dreams aren't lucid, so I can't do anything about it.
