Hi. I used to come to dreamviews when I was having about 2 DILD's every 3 nights, but I haven't came here much since September. I rarely get DILD's, but that's might be because I no longer keep a dream journal (which I will start now) so my dream recall is crap.

I've always wanted to WILD because the though of Lucid Dreams whenever I wanted (almost) was pretty cool. However, I always hit this snatch that prevents me from doing much. My mind needs to wander to fall asleep, and I've heard there are a few other members on these forums who have this problem. I need to think about random things to fall asleep, giving me no memory from 5 minutes before I fell asleep.

The problem is that most people say when you WILD, you should concentrate on something, such as your breathing or counting. However, I do not think this would work for me (I have tried WILDing before, but I think I was mainly unsuccessful because of minor movements) because of my mind wandering problem. I can't fall asleep while concentrating. The farthest I've gotten while WILDing was when my arms and legs were pretty numb and very heavy, which took 60 minutes. I slept for 5 hours before that.

A while ago, maybe 8 months ago, I PM'd Seeker (he's still here, right?) abou my problem and he told me to practice clearing my mind of all thoughts for 5 minutes. When I was able to do this, I was supposed to get back to him. I haven't been able to do this yet.

So, I'm wondering if there are any successful WILDers out there who have the same mind wandering problem as me. If you do, please post here or PM me.

Also, I have another problem with failed RC's. In my rare LD's, it seems as if there is a higher and higher chance for my nose RC's to fail. They worked well in the beginning, but last night it finally failed me. I nose RC'd twice (to make sure) while dreaming and I couldn't breathe through my nose, so I assumed I was awake and failed to become lucid. I'm going to try the thinking back on your day RC and see if it works, because it worked once before when I used it. I just don't know why my RC failed. My brain doesn't like me, I guess..... Any ideas why this happened? (And don't say the higher dream mind)

Thanks
