      Hmm

This is the second time I've done this. I tried the FILD method and it worked but I didnt realize it. This time I woke up and thought to myself, ok I'm not quite ready to fall asleep so hold off for a second. Then my brother started yelling out in the kitchen and I couldnt do it. I woke up in the morning and realized that my brother was not yelling in the kitchen, I was dreaming.

I think what I'm going to do is whenever I wake up and try FILD, I'm going to have to do a RC if ANYTHING happens. Cause it seems that I have good success with FILD I just never realize it till its to late.

Wow, last night I did something I havent been able to try yet. I was able to set an alarm to wake me up so I didnt have to rely on mental suggestion to wake me up.

I woke up the first time and began to wiggle my fingers. Almost instantly I felt a tingling, like my arm was falling asleep and I felt myself rolling onto my side and I wasnt doing it. I did a RC and I was dreaming, I got up and tried to make it stable and it lasted for about 30 seconds or so. This same thing happened to me a total of 3 times last night. Each time I felt a tingling and rolling onto my side.

Now a few questions I have are. How do I make it more realistic. Each time it felt farly real but it was also very weird. I could feel like a "fuzziness" for lack of a better word. Also it felt very fragile, like I knew I could wake up any second.

Another thing I'd like to ask is, are there actions I should be afraid to do in an LD? Such as doing something to fast, closing my eyes, anything like that?

Any tips would be awesome. Thanks!

Some people claim that a good way to increase vividness or clarity in a dream is to rub your hands together. Or just examine your hands and look at the fine detail. Also if you have any dream control you can make "dream drugs" that will increase clarity.

Example: You want to increase clarity so you think in your head..I know I have some pills in my pocket that will increase the clarity of this dream if I take them. Reach into your pocket and take the pills

I find this with FILD all the time. Its quite easy to get into the dream with FILD, but I can never stabilize. Hmm. Anybody have any tips for stabilzing FILDs?

Do you start the FILD as soon as you wake up and not make any movement?

Ive become quite good at Gothlarks HILD technique, having adapted it for recall, I wake up after every dream period. Usually about 5 hours into my sleep when I wake up, I dont move and do a FILD. Usually I just suddenly find everything tingling and shaking. I open my eyes do a RC which fails. At this point I feel like my movement is restricted. I try to get up and go about my dream but I cant. Everything is fuzzy, I try to look at my hands, or rub them togethe, but all that happens is I lose the dreamstate, and wake up.
      =(

You should try the dream drug technique. Actually believe that the clarity will improve. Have no doubt! People have talked about also using a certain item to improve clarity. Like drinking a lucid coke that will improve the dream with each sip. Or lucid a cigarette that will do the same thing with each drag. The possibilities are endless

No the issue is i cant even summon a coke, I can hardly move.
I feel like im being trapped by invisible bonds.
      I cant physcially move proeprly.
I mean I can move but each movement is a struggle.

I can move but I personaly have found it hard to summon anything. like I knew I was in a dream so the first thing I did was think of someone I wanted to be there (after saying stabilize, which I have made of habit of being the first words out of my mouth in a dream) And that person was not there. Another thing I have noticed is when I say things, it seems as if I'm not actually saying them, its more like I'm thinking them.

is this very important? Cause what I did was I woke up, I dont think I moved but I didnt start instantly, I waited a few minutes I think. Also, even if the pills or whatnot increase clarity, is this going to help with the feel that the dream could be broken any second. Whenever I actually attain lucidity I feel as if I have to rush full speed to do whatever I wanna do cause its only gonna last a couple minutes at most, if I'm lucky.
