      This Cannot Be True!

I read in a FAQ of lucid dreaming somewhere, or maybe even read it here, that when you are in a lucid dream, and have control you can meet up with one of your friends and help tell them that they are dreaming aswell? What does this mean? that if both people are dreaming in real life, you can meet together in the dream and talk to each other w/e? and wake up and both if both of you recalled it would remember they were in the dream together?

I personally dont believe that can happen. To crazy!

Makes for a great story. I'd love for it to be true. I'm quite convinced it's not.

I want to test this out like this: think of a random word, tell my friend in 'our' dream, and ask him what it is the next morning. I'm fairly sure that this i impossible, though

This I suppose, would require there to be some sort of shared dream world, which I quite firmly believe there is not.

It would be fun if it was real though.

      Big if.

It's known as dream sharing and it is very controversial as to whether it is possible or not. I personally beleive that it is possible, but a bit more complicated than what you said.

How can we say for certain that ANYTHING is impossible in a world that can be described by quantum mechanics, located in a universe that is likely one of an infinite number of parallel universes?
One the parallel universe theory has no evidence, and too bringing quantum mechanics in is wrong, brains are classical objects and dreams are not paranormal. Even if on some level brain had some quantum phenomina this wouldn't mean we could connect brains.

People who believe in shared dream or astral projection, are wishful thinkers. I don't mean wishful thinkers in a good way.

Well the same quatum mechanics that is forming the world around us.
Is also forming are bodies, including our brains. There are some theories that argue, that this quantum energy is actually consciousness itself. Considering the complexity of the creations this energy is forming, It makes more sense that this could be true, than not.

I'm currently trying shared dreams with a friend the same guy who shared one with volcon, I'll let you guys know how it goes, but some of you might not beleive me when I come back eventualy and tell you all about it.

Personaly I didn't beleive in shared dreaming in the past but I have a buddy who is an honest person who says that he's had them alot of times (with 2 diffrent members here), so I try and beleive him and just wait to see if it's possible, I mean I serously don't think it works, but I serously don't think he would just tell a lie, or maybe a bunch of coencidences happened whenever he shared his dreams who knows.

There's a good book on this, called "Simultaneous Dreaming", or something like that. It's somewhere in my library. It claims this is not only possible, but a skill anyone can accomplish.

So tired of people trying to write off stuff like this - like existence is a one-time deal, pointless, and without continuity of the mind after the physical has died. The greatest impossibility is that life ever existed in the first place, so until you can prove that life doesn't exist, you won't be able to prove that higher levels of conscious communication don't exist.

And people who are pre-disposed to dismissing possibility out of hand based on "common knowledge" are the ones who have held back human progress all through history.

Hmm, you could have one where you're both going on DV Chat. Like if I was lucid I could of told LucidDreamGod that he was in my dream!

yeah similarity in the dream might cause are minds to link up, then I'd tell you a password and when you wake up you'd have to use it as a chatroom password to get into my room.

Well, I believe it is possible. I had a sort of shared dream with a classmate in 3rd grade. I came in and mentioned it to her and she said "woah. I remember that!" crazy huh? It has yet to happen again though. Perhaps the human mind's frequencies rearely but occasionaly match with another person. Therefore joining them in a construct of both their minds. However, the rareness of this causes the controversey.

There are tons of things that scientists admit could exist but haven't discovered yet, like dark matter, magnetic monopoles, the Higgs Boson, etc., so who knows? psi waves or similar telepathic communication could exist

Anyone prepared to get up off their over-opinionated asses and try to seek the truth behind this? Explorers that clame certain missions are impossible clearly aren't very good explorers at all. Feel challanged.

I myself had an meditational experience with a friend that DOES prove something about Collectiveness in the realm of Dreams. Allthough it was a Daydream it was a strong one. We put on some "Celtic River" music and meditated in his room. In the midst of all of this I suddenly found myself in a very immersive daydream. To be specific in a forrest and there I actually saw a figure. When I came closer I saw it was my friend and to confirm I had just "contacted" him in this daydream I laughed. He responded by laughing and we both fell into joyfull laughter that we made contact. We proceeded to stay together in that daydream but I lost him again at a lake. Later we talked about it and I'm allready awaiting your "It was coincidence" response. But only me and my friend know, beyond explanation, that it wasn't coincidence since neither of us had such intentions nor had we spoken about it: it just happened and it was confirmed.

As for shared dreaming: I guess this requires 2 master lucid dreamers, that are not full of assumptions and have an open mind, and some time.
I've read that Lucid Dreamers can "get into another one's dream and make them lucid too". Well how about we FIRST try and then JUDGE?

Right now everyone is equally full of shit: Experience and THEN conclude.

fine I will tell you what they are about, and If I can take place in research toprove it on the research team.

the first one we wanted to meet up the dream, I was throwing some sparkly colored rocks, then my cousin flew across the sky, pretty much thats it.

the second one we were on vacation, he mentioned a dream he had about the space thing at disney but it was at cedar point. I said I had the same dream. we described everything to each other perfectly. It was dawn, there was a sparkly river nearby, I walked closer to a space shuttle, it was upside down on a tower. I went in it, there were a whole bunch of other people on the ride, the shuttle lifted off the towwer for a few seconds an I looked down at the ground, it then fell back on the tower.
