      So Close Yet So Far

This morning I had woken from a non-lucid dream and decided to try a WILD. I laid back and started counting. I felt SP and vibrations, my vision changed and I felt my eyes start to twitch rapidly. My heart was beating very fast at this point and I tried to keep calm and continued to count. But after a few moments, it all faded and I was wide awake and all RCs confirmed it.

      Did I do something wrong?

The "problem" is that your heart started beating. You've never consciously experienced the feeling of entering sleep and SP, so your body activates the defensive mechanisms. It's like being in a dark-room. You instinctively become more aware, and you sorta go into a defensive position.

It will go away for 2 or 3 tries more, maybe even your next try. Just, relax and ignore it. The most important thing, is to let all go. Focus on how your body feels, without worrying about it though.

Lost count of how many lucid dreams I've had

Wow, no ones ever explained it that way before, i am suprised cause that would be such a simple thing to throw in a tutorial about wild and yet i haven't seen it once! This is the kind of explanation which would stop people giving up on wild after their first attempt.

I know it wasn't a complete tutorial or anything but i have to say "well done".

I did the same thing, woke up from a normal dream and tried WILD, I got some HI and stuff but suddenly everything got black and I felt as if I was wide awake, but suddenly I was thrown into a lucid dream
Everything is not what it looks like.
