It's a good achievement because recall is important, so well done on that. But it's not really an indicator as to if you're close to getting lucid. You may well find yourself more likely to remember lucid dreams, but be sure to keep up with practicing techniques and reality checking. One will come, your vivid dream recall will make it seem so much better.

I think a good indicator of getting "close" is noticing odd things in your dreams but not putting 2 and 2 together and saying "I'm dreaming". A lot of people report that as being a precursor to their first lucid dream.

So, have you noticed anything odd while dreaming but accepted it anyway?

i do this all the time. i don't accept anything in my dreams, i already can tell the difference. its more that i blow off the fact that i am dreaming. for example a dream might go something like this:

im walking along and something totally weird will happen. then i will notice how weird it is, and it will click for a split second. it would be like wow that weird, i must be dreaming. then after like a second, i will just be like oh well and continue on. that is how my dreams tend to go, i just never stop and actually take control.

i am probably one of the few people that could go lucid at will. i could even stay that way as long as i wanted. i think it might have something to do with my personality.

its not that i can't go lucid, its more like i don't want to or something. its just waking up my consious mind that stops me.

Are you also performing reality checks during the day so that you will question yourself while having these very vivid dreams?
