MILD to a WILD... sort of

Okay, last night I tried for the first time to do a MILD, I had not read the stuff on WILD, so I had no idea about it. When I meditate (like i did for the relaxing) I breave in for 2 seconds and out for 3, which i guess makes use of breathing part of the WILD, anywayi could not have an empty mind when I was telling myself that i would end up at the end of each dream period and remember the dream, because I had a song stuck in my head (Ash- star crossed, such a sweet song) so I could not concentrate properly. I woke up at the end of each one, but could not remember any of them, so at arround 2 o'clock, I decided to try the dream sign placement bit in a dream I remember well, I did my breathing thing again and thought " I will see this dream sign and go from waking to Lucid ". After a while of this i started to see random coluors and became parylised, I suddenly got VERY scared, and put all my effort in regaining control over my body. Was I starting to WILD or was it just a coinidence? After this however, I have a clear memory of the dream I had next.

WOOT! Sounds like the beginning stages of WILD!

You gonna try for another tonight? MILD and WILD compliment each other. I've found that MILD used earlier in the night, and WILD later on work great. Of course, MILD is VERY effective for re-entering a lucid dream if you lose it and wake up.

No, but I have advocated doing the opposite!

      PILD (Pee Induced....)

Tank up just before bed. Nature will make sure you awaken during the night =P

I have not heard of TILD before.
      What does it stands for?
      Are you dreaming?

Basicly, a TILD is a thirst induced lucid dream, you go to bed thirsty, you set your alarm for about 2-3 hours earlier than usuall, as you go to sleep, keep telling yourself that if you have a lucid dream, you can have a drink. When your alarm goes off, write your dream jounal, go and get a glass of water (don't drink it), this bit is important, either eat a teaspoon of salt of a chili pepper, this will get you really thirsty! put your drink by on your bedside table, as you go to sleep, tell yourself that if you have a lucid dream, you can have the drink. In your dream, with any luck, you will dream you are drinking the water, as you do this, do an RC, you will find that you're dreaming and... YOUR LUCID!

That sounds helpful to become lucid, but isn't it difficult to fall asleep thirsty?
Do you use more time than usual to fall asleep thirsty?
(If I am thirsty when I shall go to bed, I always drink some water.)
      Are you dreaming?

Let me think... Okay... it is difficult and it does take longer to fall asleep, but if you keep your mind on the water, not the thirst, it should help, you just have to remember the reality check for your dreams (you will hate yourself if you don't).

A technique I haven't gotten round to trying yet is the RILD, in this one you think to yourself before you go to sleep, if I remember my drea, i will have half a chocolate bar (or somthing you like) if i have a lucid dream i will have a chocolate bar (or somthing else you like). This may work, does anyone know if it does?
