I still depend on DILD because nothing else has worked for me X.x
It is impossible to live in the past, difficult to live in the present and a waste to live in the future.
      DILD - 5
      DEILD - 3
      WBTB - 1
      Total - 9

      Um, a DILD isn't a technique, it's a type of lucid dream.

DILD = Dream Induced Lucid Dream
WILD = Wake Induced Lucid Dream

To achieve a DILD you can use the MILD technique: Mnemoncially Induced Lucid Dreaming.
To achieve a WILD you can use the Hypnagogic Imagery technique.

So, aye, the only underdog is strict knowledge of terminology. But then again, not everyone has read LaBerge's EtWoLD.

Yeah people want to experiment with techniques to increase frequency of LDs. Given my current life schedule however, I am personally content with going for DILDs only.

The other problem you have with DILD for me is it is not a guaranteed way to induce lucid dreams - and by far one of the most random ways to lucid dream.

But using an induction technique as it says you can induce a lucid dream easier.

Using a "technique" can often lead to a DILD, even when they "fail". DILD is often more of a random, accidental happening than something you'd generally aim for. But things like RCs, recognising dream signs and having the intention to lucid dream can increase your odds of a DILD.

DILDs "by themselves" aren't guaranteed because that entails only reality checking.
But DILDs through the MILD technique can indeed be "guaranteed" since you're using your own will power. With the MILD technique one can surely have lucid dreams every night, even in every dream, before which he/she uses the technique of intention. It just requires a very trained and strong will power.
