I am assuming it is a similar method. I use it often for afternoon naps. I will lie completely still, and relax every part of my body until I feel myself slipping into sleep paralysis.

It works great for me. Like I said, I use it most when I am meditating / taking a nap in the afternoon. When I WILD in the middle of the night (after WBTB), I am usually relaxed enough to go straight into SP without any relaxation techniques.

When I'm doing this I find that towards the end, my skin is hyper sensitive. If there is a breeze blowing on my arm hair, or the temperature is wrong, or something similar, it will make me more irritated. Do you think it would help if you took a super hot shower right before you did it? Might relax you a bit in advance.

Do you try this straight from going to sleep or do you use WBTB and then WILD?

I would say itch away, when ever I WBTB/WILD I always itch myself if I need to because the destraction of an itch is far worse then setting yourself back a few seconds by itching yourself! I say go ahead and scratch and don't get worked up

I have a similar problem, although it isnt an itch I experience. Rather, it is a whole body aggitation. Almost like a huge ball of anger and tension is built up and it almost pains me to try and push through it.

The best way to describe it is if you tense every muscle in your body like you're so angry you could kill someone. It's a horrible feeling, i cant get past it even though i'm relaxed in my mind, focussed on my breathing..my body feels this and i dont know how to stop it. I hate it, a nasty feeling. Any ideas?

(I dont have any anger issues, I meditate regularly, but I feel the crossover into sleep induces this feeling)

It wasn't the itches that got me. The really annoying irritation wasn't and itch at all it was like... its really hard to explain but the only way to make it go away was to wake my body.

In some video about WILDing someone said that the mind want's to make sure that you're asleep before entering SP... so it sends irritations and urges to move. Maby that's what this was.
