The Ultimate way to have Lucid Dreams

Theres all these techniques going around now and people are having mixed results with them. This technique that i will present to you is one that Ancient Tibet Yogis used and mastered.

It is very simple, extremely easy and extremely hard. It will take practice. But once you practice this and master it you will have lucid dreams virtually everynight.

How sure are you that your awake right now?

Your probably 100% sure that your awake right now, but this is where the problem starts if your 100% sure that your awake right now than the same will happen while asleep.

The key is to have a nonstop/unbroken constant state of hyper-awarness/conciouness of your self, surrondings, senses, and reality through out the day.

See you think your aware of your self and surroundings and reality, but your just as oblivious as when your dreaming right now.

For example when you go to the washroom take a wiz, wash your hands and leave, your totally oblivious of reality at that moment. All though your awake your just as unconscious as when your dreaming. For example when your watching your favorite tv show, someone comes in the room and when the shows done you wonder how this person came in without you noticing.

Or when you have a converstaion with your friends or colleges you forget about your about reality, your self, surrondings, and senses

See the two states of consiousness (awake and dreaming) dont actually apose at all. Sure when your awake you can do math, make concious decisions etc. but the same sense of self and your surrondings are the same.

My theory as to why where unconscious while dreamings is because when where awake we have the habit of accepting everything as reality and not focusing on your senses. For example feel your bum as your sitting on your chair, see until i brought your attention to this fact you where totally oblvious of the fact that you where asleep. Or focus on your breathing, untill i told you to focus on it you where totally oblivious of that too.

The second part of my theory is that natural lucid dreamers are very conscious of there self, surrondings, senses, and reality through out the day.

Once you master a non-stop state of hyper-awarness/actualization of your self, surrondings, senses, and reality through out the day, it will then cross over to your dream.

The technique was used by ancient Tibetan Yogis and allowed them to have an unbroken state of consciousness through out the day and when sleeping.

The technique is simple and straight forward, but requires practice. Its quite hard at first, to keep your train of thought. Once your able to maintain this state of consciousness through out the day it will cross over to your dreams.

In essence you have to be lucid while awake to be lucid while asleep.

Isn't this pretty much what most induction methods are getting at? Not trying to sound critical or anything; it's a good idea.

its very similar to critical state testing, but is the way the Tibetan Dream Yogis mastered it

reality checks are one way of testing your reality but, this your looking for a specific sign to find out that your dreaming.

If you master this ancient technique you will be lucid as soon as you dream all the way to the end of the dream.

wow, nice! I never thought of it that way.

so what your saying is the habits that you do during the day, you do in a dream. So if you become hyper alert/conscious during the day then you will become hyper alert/conscious during a dream and become Lucid.

The true master of LD is being aware of thy self. Dude you make an explicit point I totally get you. Natural lucid dreamers were first introduced through DILDs which infact was when they first began having LDs. This technique of self-awareness leads to many DILDs indeed. Starting from tomorrow I'll try not to loose awareness of my self along with my environment and thoughts during the entire day. Great point XD.

Thanks, I've been doing it a lil' but now I plan to master it, just like when I spent a whole day doing Rc's very enthusiastically and had a dream about them.

      Nice post I h8 reality!

Isn't that the perfect combination of combining 2 positive things: on one hand you improve your (chances on) lucid dreaming, on the other: you enjoy every day life more and more!

I do try reality checks all day with some standard technique (looking at my hands and my watch) but I also try to use ALL my sense as much as I can during the day.
How does the ground feel that you are walking on?
Are you aware of the SOUND around you, the sound your footsteps make on that ground?
What temperature do you feel on different places on your body (like cold wind in your face, but warm hands because of your gloves)
      Does your environment SMELL nice?

Try to use all senses at the same time (it made me crazy, being able to only concentrate on 2 or 3 at a time, not all together). And not just your vision as reality check...

I've also thought of this before, except slightly different. Throughout the day, most of the time you don't really have control/awareness of your thoughts. However, if you happen to think about your thoughts, you will control your thoughts and have awareness over them. So, if you can constantly control your thoughts, you will be able to become aware of you surroundings in real life and the dream world. It's a similar concept to yours.

The only thing I disagree with is that I don't believe natural lucid dreamers are constantly aware of their surroundings. I think that they just "know" their dream is a dream, because of a distinct difference from reality or a change in perception.

      Good thread, though.

I H8 Reality: Thanks for the very right on post. The kind of practice is called Vipassana Meditation in some Buddist practices. I have been doing some of this for years it can be a difficult practice but it does give results. You can also spend an half or hour or more a day just sitting in meditation with this practice and just watch your breath and bring your mind back to the breath whenever you find it wandering off to tomorrow or whatever. There is more to this practice than I mentioned. Books buy Jack Kornfield are great for insturctions on this Vipassana Method also Joseph Goldstein. Best sea bee
