I think I have a solution to all the gamers out there...

Well, if your like me and love to play games all the time then you might experience lots of video game dreams. I know I do...and since I already know games are fake (some games are made for the realism like WWII games or whatever) I seem them as something normal and won't have to question.
But if you notice in your dreams you will see things from all different types of games you might have seen or played.
Just last night I had a dream about Final Fantasy XI, but it was some different game that was similar to it but the buildings and enviroment looked different. There was also a building I was supposed to go to (It had some special name but I forget what it is) but when I got there I was attacked by zombies and was outnumbered. But that's a different story.
What I'm trying to get to is if you play games like Half-Life 2 DeathMatch, Counter-Strike: Source, Day of Defeat: Source, or any other game that allows you to make a custom spray and and spray it on a wall (usually to taunt other players or to be funny or something) then try making a spray that says "You are dreaming! Do a Reality Check!" or something.

Now, I do not know if this will work 100% of the time...I just thought of this today and figured other people should try it as well. It might work for some or it might not.

I wouldn't know what to call this technique (if it really needs a name) except for Game-Spary Induced Lucid Dream G-SILD (the dash makes it look cool). In other words, make a custom spray that says something along the lines of "You are dreaming do a reality check!" and spray it ingame every so often and ponder at it or question it or something.

Also, if your game does not allow custom sprayed images, then it might allow you to change audio files. So if there was supposed to be background music, try replacing it with a lucid dreaming induced MP3.

You might also try "skinning" one of the models in the game. Skinning is when you take a prop or model (Like a gun for instence) and make the colors look different.

I hope this helps some people out and I hope it helps myself out. Some might say that I should probably find people for testing and gather information and stuff first but I don't have the time to do stuff like that and I would also be forcing people to play video games when they should be doing homework or something...I'm just saying that as an excuse so I won't actually have to do that...

Sounds good although i don't play those types of games. You could also every time you die in a game or if you're offline just every now and then do a reality check. This would make you reality check while dreaming about games.

Good idea. Because even though your dreaming you can still die just like a video game, and come back to life. So when you die, try to do a reality check.

It's a sweet idea, but despite the fact I game heavily, many of my dreams aren't about gaming or games. But hey, when Assassins Creed comes out, I'll be doing that 24/7 so that might increase my chances

      Cool idea man.

I once had videogames affect the structure of my dreams in a profound way. Check this out.

When Splinter Cell: Double Agent came out, I was playing it night and day. I was trying to go through with 100% stealth, and this meant a lot of playing a section and reloading the same section until I got it perfect. If you've ever played SC, you know what I'm talking about.

During this time period, I found that I would actually reload parts of my dreams. I would walk down a hallway, talk to someone, decide I didn't like how the conversation went, reload it, and do it again. Each time it would be slightly different. And these were non-lucids!

Nice idea. I never thought of making my sprays dream-related. I think I will do this and see how many people know what the heck I am doing when I spray.

Haha, I sometimes have dreams about playing Half-Life 2 Deathmatch. I usually find out, by then, that I'm dreaming.

I think it's because since it's just a game, and your brain knows it's not normal, and when you dream about a game, your mind would just be like "Well this is just a game, so nothing to worry about..." or something...

heh whats funny is, i am not really a gamer, but last night i started playing the SP of Call of Duty 4, and i wasn't paying attention to the time, and it was 3AM, so i went to sleep. my dream that night was all about terrorists, sniping, and idk why, but stealing diamonds. it wasn't lucid, despite how crazy it was, because i have to practice RCs
