      I got 'OILD' again!

'OILD', or Object Induced Lucid Dream, is my personnal method for going LD.
Last night the object, or hypnagogic image, was a curving street. It was nicely paved, with white curbs, short street lamps, a stop sign, and a few cars moving in the distance.
The street presented itself as I was drifting off, I simply walked into it and into LD town.
Once I was there, I wanted to go downtown, a nearby DC suggested that I take a horse, and that I could check one out from the corral nearby.
Another DC girl was already leading a brown horse, a mare perhaps, to me.
She informed me that I would have to ride bareback, which I already was experienced with.
I rolled onto 'her' back and guided her out onto the street, heading 'east' towards the city. We spent the next several minutes negotiating the traffic, people, and street signs.
We arrived at my destination, a tall building, I ducked as we trotted into the lobby, and into an empty elevevator.
A trip to the 40th floor, and I handed a large envelope to the receptionist.
Always on the horses back, we re-entered the elevator, then I realised that perhaps we were going to over load the car due to the horses weight, so I hung on the her neck tightly as we fell for several floors, the elevator slowed and opened up at the lobby.
Out we went into the streets and back to the suburbs.

I dont get 'OILD' too often, but the result is usually a good LD.
      got nitro?

There are only a few ways to induce lucid dreams, all other are just variations. There is no correct way to WILD, you way works for you, Clairity's works for her, TS's works for her. They're all different, but it's all WILD.

I read the title, then looked at your DP and got a totally different idea.

Wow, thats an awesome dream indeed...

but i dont really think that OILD would be the term...i see people are really fond of acronyms around here hehehe i guess you had an WILD, that happened to be triggered by a specific dream cue (the dreamscape)

      just my 2 cents
      keep dreaming

Why does it always come back to WILD when it is so hard and rare to do?
These MILDs or OILDs seem to be easier to get a grip with.
Anyway, when you all say jump into the scene. If you are seeing and object/image, how do you mentally jump into or towards it?

Lol why did you quote me?

with the few wilds Ive done, the scene has just sort of pulled me in, which is what a lot of other people describe. Since then I havnt been able to do it, its not like theres a better technique really, its just waiting for the pulling in to actually happen.

Sorry Swank, meant to quote Moonscape.

When I try to WILD it is using Billy Bobs method where you lay on your back and focus on your breathing and counting your breaths, and not thinking of dreams, etc.
I always seem to just end up meditating and staying awake. Any ideas?

Actually...the sensation is like 'falling' into the LD, rather than being 'pulled in'. Usually I will 'fall' fowards into the scene, the most difficult part is fighting the temptation to 'get ahead' of whats going on, which will cause me to lose the trance and remain awake.

The best way that I can describe it DreamChaser, is its like that 'head rush' sensation that we all experience, only in this case, you allow the 'rush' to take you there.
