10 LDs over a 2 month span, is that good or bad?

I've been trying to lucid dream for about 10 months now and i think i'm finally getting the hang of it. I had my first multi-lucid dream night last night and counting those two i'm up to 11 in two months, I've probably had a total of about 16 or 17 LDs (all but 3 or 4 of these have been DIDLs, the rest were WILDs) but most of those have come in the last two months.

Is this a good number of LDs for that amount of time or should i be expecting more?

Also, how many LDs should one have after they've been practicing for 10 months? I didn't have a single LD before i started practicing so i was basically starting from scratch.

      And opinions/comments would be appreciated.

The amount of lucid dreams are so individual that it's impossible to say "you should have so and so many lucid dreams a month", and also, it's impossible to expect a certain number. With that said, you seem to be doing well.

It's really variable from person to person. I think you're doing great. I'd be happy with that.

What made you increase number of dreams in last two months?

Astral Traveler, when you start comparing your LD progess with others you set yourself up for disappointment because there's always going to be someone who's had more. I'd be pleased with 10 LDs over 2 months!

It's been a combination of a number of things i think.

I've been very dilligent with my dream journal, i do a lot of reality checks and i practice WILD quite a bit (i don't have a lot of WILDs but i think even just trying to WILD help with Lucid Dreaming).

I also read over my dream journal whenever i get time, that seems to help a lot.

I've also recently started to take ZMA so that might have had something to do with the two LDs i had last night.

10 LD in 2 months is ok i guess but i think the quality could be a lot better, i need to find a way to prolong the dream so i can do more things while i'm in it, my typical LD only lasts a few minutes, if i'm lucky.

What happens that makes your LDs end so soon do you think? Do you get excited.. do they just start to fade out?

      Haha, yeah, about that.

Most of my LDs tend to center around me trying to have sex with random girls from my school (i made a list of things that i wanted to do in my dreams and this was at the top) but since every time i get close to having sex i wake up i can never manage to complete the task so i keep going back to it and i keep failing.

As soon as i get the girl where i want her something happens to distract me or the dream fades out or SOMETHING happens which prevents me from having a proper go at it.

My dreams have a LOT of sexual content but most of it seems to center around foreplay and kissing, i have the odd dream when i'm "doing it" but it never lasts very long and it's never a LD.

So to answer your question, it's probably because i'm over excited. Being lucid doesn't really get me too excited but what i do WHILE i'm lucid does and that seems to be what it stopping me from prolonging my dreams.

The act of trying to have sex has ended lucid dreams for many members.

To extend the length of your lucids, you might try doing something ELSE first and save the sex for later on in your dream.

      Hmm, that might work.

I'll try shooting some heroin or driving a tank, then when i find a girl i'll try to do all three at the same time.
