Well it's different for everybody, but why don't ya try it? Usually sounds from the 'real' world get transmitted to the dream world. Sounds like a good idea, anyway. Wish I had one! lol

Maybe if you could get it to turn on at REM so then you could always listen for that, everyday, and when you hear it, do an RC. Who knows? It's worth a try.

Yeah, I tried that once or twice and it didn't work for me. I have a tape recorder so I recorded myself saying "1, I'm dreaming, 2, I'm dreaming, 3, I'm dreaming..." until I got to 100. So I would have to keep pressing the back button to reply the tape; I think that's why it didn't work, because it wouldn't playing during REM sleep. It would probably be better if you can somehow get it on repeat and play it after an awakening...

Yeah like on a CD, that might work. It would repeat itself automatically.

or, you can just take the tape, and record yourself saying (1 time only) "im dreaming" then stop the tape and cut it off at the closest part you can to make it to the other reel... errm

what i am saying is to make it loop by taking out all the tape but the part that has "im dreaming" recorded on to it and then tape it back onto the original reel (after going through the whole tape like normal) so that it will repeat that every few seconds, and not the constant:

      im dreaming-im dreaming-im dreaming-im dreaming-im dreaming-im dreaming-im dreaming-im dreaming-im dreaming-im dreaming-im dreaming-im dreaming-im dreaming-im dreaming-im dreaming-im dreaming-im dreaming-im dreaming-im dreaming-im dreaming-im dreaming-im dreaming- you get it, there will be pauses

i think i should stop talking now

I found a voice to be too distracting.. but maybe thats just cos I had earphones on with lots of white noise ...

If you make a short of soft beep..(2 second)..beep..(2 seconds)..beep..(2 seconds).. beep. And make it only go off for those 4 beeps every about hour or half hour.... that might help.
If you force it into your head that the beeping means 'Hey... you're in bed!'

      Just a thought
Unfortunately I have problems since I don't sleep alone...
