When you are fall asleep is it possible to think of something (driving,ex.). and then have a lucid dream of it? |

I have a short sleep schedule and I can obtain a WILD by a combination of relaxation/light meditation. What I am going to try toinght is, instead of thinking to myself I am dreaming, I am going to try to just picture a dreamscape in my head and see where it takes me. Hopefully it will work. |

LDguy, you are right! However, if you practice dream incubation along with MILD techniques after about 6 hours of sleep, you don't have to wait 90 minutes. |

Exactly, set your alarm to wake you up about 6 hours after you fall asleep. Its a little hard somtimes to actually take the time to wake up but its worth it. It usually helps to get up and use the bathroom or somthing of the sort just to get wake your mind alittle. The same way you would do WILD, actually you can use WILD. While your letting your body relax, picture as vivid as possible the dream you would like to enter, as many details as you can. Soon enough you may find your self dreaming conciously in that dream you pictured, or something very close to it. This works well with WILD because if you fall asleep during the proccess it's the same thing as MILD and usually results in a lucid dream, since you were concious only several minutes before you drifted into REM state you will natually enter the dream with a very high level of conciousness. I've had success with this before, and when it does work its alittle easier to realize your dreaming, because its exactly where you planned to go. |

Me personally I haven't tryed that but I have told my friends to do that and it has worked! I may try that later though to actually see if the theory actually works! |
