Is SP something to be afraid of?

Hey guys i was just wandering a few things about SP. I've heard its very scary and i was wandering what makes it so scary and if its a big deal. I know that you cant move while in SP. Is that what makes it so scary to some people or do weird scary images or scary sounds start to pop into your head? Thanks for your time

I've never had SP but I know that if I can't move, I panic. I would never want SP because I hate not being able to move.

Nope, it happens every time that you got to sleep, you're just not usually aware of it because you're unconscious.

      You get used to it.

I remember when I first used to have it, I would get really really scared.

But now I'm used to it, and don't get that scared anymore.

Anway, who knows? You might not have it.

Try to remind yourself that it happens every night, the only thing different is that your awake during it. Therefor, what is there to be scared about?

Scary images and thoughts could occur, but they shouldn't. It'd only happen if your subconscious expects it to. So don't go reading up on anything related to scary experiences. I just stay away from anything like that and I've never had an unpleasant experience. I haven't had SP while conscious yet but I have had HI and HS. Never anything scary, just voices that come out of nowhere with ridiculous statements about stuff. Or a sudden visualization of moving my body even though I'm lying still. There is no reason to expect anything scary to happen, its all a natural process.

This is my opinion on the SP's i get, I do agree that you will experience what you beleive you will when in SP.

Awaking in SP is really scary shit and I used to always fight out of it. Its been a natural occurance for me upon waking in teh morning, ever since I was a young kid. I once awoke into SP with my head down in my pillow and I seriously almost suffocated(lol i was really young maybe 4). I also have been attacked by a certain entity whilst in SP and that wasnt pleasant either. Ontop of all these other goings on I hear tremendously loud static in my ears that coincides with the intense body vibrations that feel like earthquakes rumbling through me.
Semi fortunately it doesn't last long and you can reach LDs through it so endure

I actually don't mind SP. The static noise is fine, and the tremors are scary until you realise they happen, and you get over it. As for the entity, I've heard a lot about it, but never seen it. In the end I am aware that 90% of what we see in dreams are just parts of our imagination. The other 10%, well...

i don't see or hear anything in SP, i usually just wait until im out of it and wake up or fall back to sleep. its possible you may have experienced it before without knowing and just thought you were too lazy to wake up
