Thread: I can't figure out if I had a lucid!

Hi guys,
I just am copy and pasting my journal entry for last night here because this really is a question that I want input on! It sounds like a lucid, but is it possible to dream that you are having a lucid? It seems impossible because the moment you know you are dreaming, you should technically be lucid. But somehow...well, please read the entry. Has anyone had an experience like this??
"I am very confused about my dream this night. I had great recall, but not writing it down right away has left gaps in the beginning of the dream. As far as I can remember, the beginning involved a regular dream that involved me and my old roommate. Then..this is where it gets confusing...I think i dreamed that i realized it was a dream, and did a nose reality check, breathed through my nose, and let the dream continue, I remember at this point we were in some sort of carriage, then I remember thinking in the dream, hey this is a dream, I should fly, so I took this running/flying leap, and ended up whooshing into the air, and it felt very realistic, but then i got up too high in the clouds and remembered I wanted to go underwater, so i swooped down into the ocean, and started breathing underwater. Then I remember dreaming, hey I cant wait to go on dreamviews and write about my very first lucid dream, and maybe i even dreamed writing in my journal, i remember waking up going over the regular beginning of the dream as if in preparation for writing it down. This sounds like a lucid dream ,and it was quite vivid, but i have the weird feeling I was merely dreaming about becoming lucid, doing reality checks, and doing a couple cool things instead of actually being lucid, like i wasnt truly controlling my actions or thinking rationally, and now i'm confused...did i have a lucid?? I can't even explain the feeling!

I have to ability to forgive and forget, and apparently you don't.

It sounds like a lucid dream yeli, you just lost the lucidity and remained in a regular dream. You might be confused because you might not remember the lucidity as much as you did the regular dream. If you did an RC, and then intentionally did the said stuff, then REMEMBERED something you wanted to do, you were definatley lucid.

Yeah this tendt to happen to me Alot.. But its still just as aeffective as a real LD.. i think. maybe not i dunno lol :S
