Lucid dream inside a Normal dream

last night i had a false awakening in which i performed a successfull DEILD. i had an LD in a ND. i flew for the first time in any dream and it was amazing. anyway, the point is, does this mean i'm getting extremely close to ending my incredibly long dry spell? and has anyone else experienced this?

Yes, I've experienced this on a few occasions. I've had DILDs, WILDs and DEILDs withing FAs. For me at least, it did signal the end of a dry spell, as I've had no less than 1 LD per week since. By the way, flying is my absolute favorite LD activity. As soon as I realize I'm dreaming, the first thing I do is fly, and fly EVERYWHERE I go... sometimes I even fly out of bed instead of stepping out Mind if I ask how you flew? Swimming through the air, wings, Superman style, etc? I always do the Superman.

As soon as I realize I'm dreaming, the first thing I do is fly, and fly EVERYWHERE I go... Same here. My first LD was within a ND as well. And the first thing I did was think "I'm dreaming...holy s***, I can fly!" And I did. Superman-style (point upwards, and go). FA's aren't always required for me to do this, but I'm told they're a good indication that a LD will follow. If my advice means anything, I'd say: If this technique works for you at this moment, go for it! Everyone is different, so this technique may pave the way for other techniques down the road....

Sometimes I'll actually "go to sleep" in a dream (even in LDs) if the dream is not very vivid or I don't care for the plot. Then I'll DEILD or WILD into a vivid LD!

I think this is one of the best parts of LDing, it allows you to do things that you a) can't do in real life b) don't want to do in real life c) know is bad for you in real life Maybe during my next LD I'll try doing some really crazy drugs.

I did this last night and used my MILD/WILD/DEILD to link 4 LDs. I call it MWD. Copyright lol. May do a tech on it. Perfected it last night.
