Meditation is simple, and one of the most overlooked practices everyone should incorporate into their everyday lives. It's good to set up a meditation space, somewhere you can't be disturbed. Sit with your back straight, feet flat on the floor or if you're sitting on the floor, with legs crossed or in the lotus or half lotus position.
Begin to focus on your breath. Your mind will wander, this is ok. Try not to become emotionally involved in your thoughts, just let them come and go. You can also try to clear your mind completely by gently refocusing your attention on your breath.
There's tonnes of other meditations to try, but start with these ones. They'll provide you with a solid foundation for any future techniques you try.
