Lightbulb Do dream people have lifes when we are awake?

I know it sounds crazy, please do not flame and such on this topic. I was just wondering if any of you had any thought if dream people actully lived in our dreams.

(Ex: When we are awake and living they are living too, not just when we are asleep).

      I voted probably not.

I voted this because we don't know what dreams are or why we have them, as well as we don't know all too much about the brain.

So, I'm a sort of DC Agnostic.

All our dreams and the things of our dreams are, are manifestations of our mind. Therefore: No, you're crazy

Nah, I can't fly or sex any girl I see.

Well, I could, but there would be repercussions.

As far as any of the dream characters who believe they're in real life in your dream are concerned, neither can they.

I voted you're crazy. I believe there's a 99.99999% chance that I am correct. I wouldn't waste any time with this... it might distract from real people.

I am one of those dream people you are talking about. I came from the other realm to tell this to you. I must go again, later.

Interesting question. I don't think of them as REAL PEOPLE (or creatures, heh), but I think they do have "lives" because I treat my imaginary characters as real living creatures. (when I see them) I know they don't really exist, but in my brain, I could recite their entire life stories to you. It is sorta like living through a never ending book for me. Whatever happens is written in my memory, and that is how I form my characters.

I may sound like an idiot, but I find it much more enjoyable that way. What are some of your guy's thoughts on the subject?

Actually, not entirely impossible. Since when you dream your mind has to create personalities for you to interact with, dream characters could very well represent another facet of yourself. It's possible I guess for them to be alive and their identities to be running on a separate (temporary) "server" of the mind. Almost as if you had split personality disorder except there was more than one body so all of the personalities could exist at once...

That's just my theory, of course, it is very doubtful that its actually true, but i thought it might be interesting to someone.
