      I was afraid! :(

So after all this, reading, doing my RC's, my DJ and so forth... I was laying in bed, and EVERY time I would fall asleep I would get a false awakening! umm this should have made me HAPPY right???

Well, I wimpped out... I was scared! I had about 3 or 4 chances to get lucid I think. I was kinda just in shock. What should I have done? They didn't last for more then a sec or two, three.

Please give me some support guys

False awakenings can be terrifying. I had reoccurring ones where I'll wake up, go to the restroom, look in the mirror, and see this horrifying disfigured face.

What helps is to perform a reality check upon waking up every morning, that can really help out with pwning false awakenings.

Another thing is to just stay calm and collective, and think to yourself, "this is all a dream, nothing can hurt me."

Keep it up, though some things may seem daunting now, in the end it will be oh so worth it.

I had the same problem with my first WILD's. Mainly because it was dark (I have a slight phobia of the dark). I'll definately be prepared for the next WILD, however.

Do RC's everytime you get up.

What also may happen is you can't get out of FA's, e.g. you have about 10 - 20 FA's and can't wake up. Don't worry - it's normal. Best thing is not to freak out, which in my experience, causes even more FA's, and just go do something fun with your lucidity.

I have the same fear, too. I grew out of it, but then a year ago I was playing the legendary "Maze Game" and I wasn't expecting that picture to pop up, ever since, that picture has haunted me and I became afraid of the dark all over again

I wish I could get so many chances at lucidity... Every time I find myself in a false awakening I know it's an opportunity to do something freaky. But I always end up losing the dream and wake up.

I did phaze between the FA induced lucid and SP though, trying to sustain the dream... Had the dream for a second, went dark and all the pressure and loud noises, back from one to the other several times. It was cool.

Just remember that dreams can never overcome you as long as your lucid. Staying calm, thinking clearly, and believing you can do anything is the key to staying lucid.

Thanks for all your posts, it really helps.

So, being that I had a FA, that mean I had a 1 sec LD? haha
