      Unable to create anything...:(

Hi, I am able to have lucid dreams at will now but I am unable to 'create' things that are unreal like for example if I wanted someone or something in the lucid dream to appear. I did think of 'special' ways to conjure up almost anything but I never remember to do them in the dream or that it dosen't work. I think it has to do with the way my mind works, it's too dependant on things that already exist in reality as I rely alot on physical things/items to have my lucid dreams. How do you overcome this problem?

Have you tried opening a door and just expecting a DC or thing to be there?

There are a number of ways you can do this.

Live above opening doors, spinning, closing and opening your eyes, asking a DC to point you in the direction of the person you are looking for.

      Good luck.

Simply deciding is the best way, later you may encounter things that just aren't as you wish you will have to go to that item or DC and have to destroy it and recreate it. Sometimes my immediate DC's the one that are there when I become lucid, want to exist a little too much, sometimes I end up destroying everyting because they piss me off. But just close your eyes and wish it back and it will almost always be there.

Hi, thanks for replying! Problem is all my lucid dreams are in the house and there is noone else. I will try the closing eyes method but wouldn't that wake me up from the dream?

Well, if you expect to be woken up from the dream when you close your eyes you probably will. I don't expect to be woken up so I can close my eyes in my dreams and I don't wake up. That's what I do to summon things. I close my eyes and hold out my hand and visualise the thing I want to summon. Soon enough I feel a weight in my hands and I've got the thing I summoned.

About the changing scenery thing, you could just close your eyes but if you think your gonna wake up you could just open a door and expect a whole different scenery to be there. It should work. Hope this helped.

Look away and imagine where you were looking and the object / person you desire there in great detail. Then look back and it will be there. Works for me

I've had a lot of trouble with this, too. I try to summon people but they are translucent or they turn into something else. The spinning thing has worked for me pretty well. It manages to change a scene entirely. Sometimes I can bring people into the picture by spinning or by grabbing a dream character and changing them. Objects can be morphed, once I turned a car into a rabbit. It's hard to keep the dream from shaking, though... for me, anyway.

imj, i think that the problem is that you are stuck on the fact that you can't. there are several ways to have dream control. the main thing is to BELIEVE you can do it. remember...you are in a dream so anything that can be thought can be done. sometimes closing your eyes may work, or maybe affirmations while in the dream. for example "my friend john doe is here" or, "i am flying" and it will happen. just keep your affirmations in the present tense and EXPECT them to work. a trick i used that worked is something i got from reading naruto. i simply slammed my hand into the ground and whatever i wanted appeared in a puff of smoke, sometimes whole dreamscapes, would appear once the smoke settled. =P hope this helps!

Hey I just made a post in dream control about this. I just figured out a new technique for me last night in a lucid that works great! I play a game called oblivion. I thought it would be good to get things I wanted by casting spells like in the game. To spawn stuff in a dream usualy I have to hope something is out of my sight and turn to see if its there. This never worked for me very well. Last night I tried saying what I wanted out loud as a spell and doing a small hand movement like in the game and what I wanted appeared in my hand without me looking away or anything.

      Hope this helps!
