Do you immediately try to perform a goal in a lucid dream? Or do you take a minute to smell the roses. |

Lately I've been really close to getting LDs. Since I've been doing reality checks it's really helped. And I can easily recall me dreams. I for some reason don't notice things like how many fingers I have or the time on clocks but strange things like once I was firing a shotgun, but wondered where I was getting the shells, very odd things like that. But I'm still having trouble maintaining lucidity when I realize in lucid dreaming. It seems that once I realize I'm Lucid I start to wake up. Spinning seems to make it worse so is there any other helpful tips for staying lucid. |

What I like to do is to carry on with my RC - i.e. If it was a nose-RC that got me lucid, I carry on my breathingwith my mouth closed. This serves as a constant reminder that I am dreaming, and it is very useful for me. |

It seems you have a problem with getting overexcited. Don't get all "OMG I'm having a Lucid!!!" Just stay calm. |
