DJILD: using your DJ to induce LDs

First off I have to thank Daniel Danciu for inspiring me to write this.

Want a good reason to keep a DJ? You can use it to cause you to lucid dream!

      Simply:
      1. Keep a DJ. It will help if you make detailed entries, but as long as it helps you clearly remember at least parts of your dreams it will work.
      2. Before going to bed read over some entries. Read about dreams that you can clearly remember. While reading do your best to relive parts of the dreams.
      3. Go to bed.
      4. Have dreams, and since you've just familiarized yourself with how dreams "feel" you have a better chance of becoming lucid.

      Any feed-back is appreciated!

Sounds good i will try tonight...just 1 problem i hate writing in my DJ becuase i remember pretty much all my dreams....lol like 5 a night.

But i think this would be a great tech for newbies but i will try considering i have like 3 nights in my journal and 13 dreams i think
Listen to Carry on my wayward son by Kansas its about lucid dreaming

I do this all the time. I find it's best to read your dream journal during your WBTB.

I'm totally trying this tonight! What a wonderfully simple idea. I'll try it before I go to sleep and then during a WBTB. Double whammy.

It's good motivation to keep a Dream Journal, must admit.

Must give this a try... sounds like a good method to me.

Wait, woudn't it also work with just looking through your Dream Journal and reliving all your dreams, getting your mind to get used to the dream feeling?

I use my old journal entries for this too. If I can recreate that dream feeling, I can better imagine what its like to become lucid. I'm convinced that using your imagination to recreate the dream feeling is a key element that I often overlook. Either imagining yourself in a dream you just exited, or in an old dream that you still remember vividly. I have to start doing this more.

I tried this last night and had a false awakening about writing in my DJ! I thought I had woken up at about 6am, wrote in my DJ and went to the washroom. When I woke 'again' at 8am I wrote in my DJ, but when I finished, low and behold there was no entry from 6am (not sure if I had actually gone to the washroom though). Bit of an annoyance, but I did notice a lot of similar things between last night and the night before. Definitely has some potential, thanks for the technique

LOL! I often have dreams of writing in my DJ. Kinda frustrating. Good luck!

Do you remember the dreams you wrote down in the dream?

I tried this last night. No lucids, but my dream recall seemed to improve. I'll try again tonight.

Unfortunately no, I couldn't recall what I dreamt I had written down, which was one of the reasons why I flipped back to look. I know it was a rather vivid dream, and had thought it would be at least a page's worth. But, the dream is lost now, except for dreaming of writing about it

When I dream about writing in my DJ I usually forget the dream I wrote. But sometimes I remember it, especially if it was unusual or exciting.
