      New way to create lucidity?

Hi, wonder if other people tried this before. You lay in bed, and as you lay there you will notice your thoughts will start to drift into randomness after a while without your concious control. When that happens, let it be random but at the same time subtley 'insert' some lucid dreaming stuff. Like for example if the random thoughts involved a conversation with someone, then 'insert' the context of lucid dreaming into the conversation. Or if it involves a place or scenario, 'insert' your normal routine of doing a reality check. Trick is to do it as subtley as possible not forcing it but as part of the randomness. I find that it helps with 'controlling' the dream content.

I know I've read this before, but I'm totally blanking... I can't remember which technique it has something to do with. MILD maybe? I dunno

This looks very similar, if not exactly, like the ILT technique.

It does help. For a while I was seeing faces during this time and I would try to make them tell me that I was dreaming. Kind of hit and miss for me but it has worked a time or two.

yeah, i read this earlier too...deja vu.

anyhoo, i may have actually done this before. after WILDing for awhile, i sometimes get bored and give up. i let my mind think about whatever and just try to fall asleep. but my first two WILDs came when i wasn't trying and i felt a falling sensation and went, "wait...i'm dreaming, i'm dreaming." i remember thinking of LDing right before that happened just coincidentally. so what i do now, is if i am trying to fall asleep, i let my mind do its thing, but every so often i will focus on my breathing for like 10 seconds just to keep my thoughts close to consciousness. it is hard to explain. but it came from this idea of half trying to LD and half trying to just fall asleep.

This is how I learned to LD when I was a kid.
This works very well and I find it the easiest way.

Day dream before you go to sleep.
