OMG the whole house will be worken up by the sound of my mother yelling at me for being awake. So i find i just sit in my be for ten minutes RCING... I hate doing it!!! does anyone else find it as boring as me?

Do it in the middle of the night... Your mother sleeps too

If that dont work, i would suggest listening to music (with earplugs/headset/whatever, naturally).

Im not sure if it will affect your WILD or something, because i am no expert.

I have a similar problem don't worry, my dad is in the room next to mine and if I leave my room he'll wake up.

      Or MP3 induction.

Try trickig your mind into thinking you're lucid the entire time.

No no, I've read that putting your mind into that state can get you used to knowing you're dreaming. I'm not saying literally trick yourself into thinking you're dreaming, but just a little bit, make your dreaming part of your mind think you're dreaming so when you go back to bed, you might know you're dreaming.

Ehh.. be a bit quieter? Or tell your mom to relax because not everyone sleeps like a zombie for 8 hours straight every night of the week?

Maybe you needed a drink.. who knows?

Hell get up and go to the bathroom Unless she makes you sleep with a bedpan?

You should sleep in your tent instead Or slip your mom some melatonin in her dessert.

I can't do a WBTB unless I get up and moving. I need to really wake my mind up. Try doing some math problems or reading a book or magazine with a flashlight. Does your sister get pissed if you have a flashlight?

You can also try doing some stretches in bed.

      Or maybe buy a GameBoy.

If your mother is such a light sleeper, she may already know what lucid dreams are. Most light sleepers or insomniacs have LDs naturally. Have you brought it up casually with her? Just a casual, "Last night I had this weird dream, where I knew I was dreaming."

man i wish i still had my tent...
i can doodle... i don't need lights to doodle... I really don't think for a second my mom is LDer... I know my dad is... not often wouldn't even know there is a name for or be intestred in LDing more often. as he would say "i don't have enough time as it is"

my mother was in the room when my dad mentioned that sometimes he has dreams that he controls... my mom said he was a liar and should stop lying to the kids about things that are impossible..

Now not to insult her just to describe her... she isnt the sharpest tool in the shed... in her mind giving and impossibe thing a name... makes it the devils work. SOOO lucid dreamers are going to hell!

ya i can't wait to move out!

Hmm, maybe try talking to your dad about it, since he's experienced it before? Or explaining to your mom what it is and showing her research and literature on it?
Or maybe you could tell her something like, "I heard that getting up at 3:00, reading your class notes from the day before, and going back to sleep will help you in school!" or something stupid like that (which is true anyways)? You must be able to think of some sort of legit reason to get up that early that even someone as (no offense) close-minded as your mother would buy.

Yeah, it comes up with new sleeping and dreaming posts and seperates the ones since you last logged in from the ones that were made before you logged in.

Most of the time I find myself only posting in new threads.
