This seems like a good technique to strengthen your awareness of your body. I think that being more aware of yourself during the day will help you stay more aware in your dreams. |

This is one exercise to stimulate the opening of your root chakra. When you are saying that this is misleading then you dont have much information about chakras as you think you know. |

I'd steer away from the notion of 'opening' chakras. it's not as if though suddenly you do the right position and flex the muscle and *poof* your chakra is open and you can now levitate. a more realistic approach is to familiarize yourself with the energetic pathways in your body, of which the chakras are a major part. If you are seriously interested in this pursuit, I recommend checking out what Robert Bruce has written--it is purely practical and effective and you don't have to wade through esoteric nonsense to begin actually experiencing results. A lot of the more traditional methods entail great deals of visualization, posture and breathing exercises, but Bruce's method focuses on so-called 'tactile imaging' which is much easier for those of us not well-versed in the cultural and philosophical specifics of eastern esotericism. While this sort of practice doesn't actually result in "attaining lucidity", it does wonders for clarity and control within dreams, and seems to be the most reliable method to learn how to consistently WILD. |
