I don't mean to sound harsh, but those doing this for a long time will agree.
i do agree with the dude. those type of things are tests to see if you are still conscious and awake, and your goal is to trick ur mind into thinking you ARE asleep. although, sleeping experiences vary from people to people. Many people swallow and gulp as a natural process when they sleep, and its almost involuntary- like breathing. if this is the case, then not thinking about it is the way to go. you'll find yourself swallowing without even noticing it. although if you go to WILD thinking about your urge to swallow, you WILL have a stronger tie to the real world rather than the dream world when you gulp. just remember everyone is different and just try not thinking about it. AT ALL. then hopefully you will never have the urge in the first place to gulp.
