      Question about DILD's

I've perused the forum and while it isn't uncommon in general, most people do RC's. In my lucid experiences (I've had lucid dreams before I came here but not many so disregard my signature ;p) I've simply realized I was dreaming when nothing was out of place. Why is that? No RC's or anything just a plain realization I was dreaming. Find it a little strange that it works opposite of an RC or seeing something out of place. Thanks!

It's because your what many would call a natural. When you sleep the area of the brain frontal lobe I think that is responsible for conciousness as in waking conciousness, logical consiousness isn't fully asleep.

      A natural huh? :O

It was funny because I was in the dream walking to open a door 'I'm dreaming' and I took my hand off the door and turned around, awesome feeling

Yeah...that's like me too! All the DILDs that I've had I never did an RC... Good. There's someone like me out there!

It can happen either way, I don't think anyone knows why. I like to think of it that in the dreams where you suddenly realize, you just knew for sure it was a dream. Sometimes the dream is convincingly realistic, or there is not enough evidence for you to jump to the conclusion that it is a dream, so you'll do a RC and make 100% sure that way.

Very interesting to say the least and awesome

I suppose it varies on the dream because it isn't always like that, I've done ridiculously dumb/impossible/repetitive things in dreams without becoming lucid.
