      Question Timer for DEILD

Hi. I want to try DEILD, but my alarm beeps for 2 minutes, my phone alarm is super loud and lasts about 1 minute, and my phone vibrates 18 times, definatley too many to keep me in REM. So I was wondering, is there any computer program I can download that I can set to go off at a certain time, but only for about 3 seconds? just enough to wake me up? i can only do it if it is free

It may be just me, but I think it's better if you wake up naturally after a REM period to try DEILD, puppy. That's why it's better if you do it on the weekends, or when you have extra time to sleep.

Then you have to train yourself. Try auto-suggestion. Tell yourself that you want to wake up after one or any of your REM cycles. When I had my DEILDs, they were after the second to last, if not last REM cycle of the morning. I had told myself that I wanted to wake up just enough to try a DEILD the following morning. It was even easier to do the 2nd time.

Another method is to, when you are going to sleep for the night, stare at your closed eyelids for a moment. After a few days (actually mine happened the second night), you'll realize when you're waking from a dream and still be groggy enough to enter DEILD. This doesn't help for body shifts though.
