      WILDs scare me

Is there anyway to get over my fear of WILDing? I've wilded before quite easily but that was about a year ago but since then i've really developed a fear of sleep paraylisis even though i've had it once or twice before and it wasn't really that bad. I've read a whole bunch of stories about having terrifying experiences during sleep paraylisis and it scares the shit out of me!
Stuff like this really scares me http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...3065715AAQmwA7. I'm not particularlly religious and do not nessicarily believe in demons and OBEs but I think "what if" sleep paralysis is actually a OBE with demons looking over me...
Another problem I have had during the times I successfully WILDed last year is I wake up in my room which is very dark. I've always have been a bit darkophobic and knowing that i'm in a dream, I think "o shit!, I hope somthing scary doesn't happen" which of course, causes somthing scary to happen. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed some of my DILDS but I have really hard time enjoying any dream where it is dark/nighttime. How hard is it to create light in a dark dream?

The best advice i can give you is to just not worry about it. It's not real anyways and it will only happen for a short period of time. I have never really heard any types of horrible noises anyways. If I do hear something it will just be something of a low hum. Let your mind go...

You got nothing to worry about. They tell you all about demons and entities, well you know I've hit sleep paralysis many times and I've never actually encountered demons. A lot of times Sleep Paralysis just involves lots of sensations like your moving or falling at extreme speed. That can be fun! Think of it as a roller coaster.

      Good luck to you man!

I think the kind of sleep paralysis where you see entities and hear stuff is the one you get when waking up from a dream, where you don't consciously go into SP.

I've experienced it once, I was lying in my bed unable to move, and I heard a deep voice talking to me. I saw a dark figure by my bed in my peripheral vision, but I had read about this phenomenon before, and it didn't really bother me. As long as you know it isn't real, it's not really scary. Like becoming lucid in a nightmare.

The hallucinations during WILD are controllable, especially the first time.
Believe me after a while you'll get used to it and you'll be waiting for the (scary) sounds and stuff to appear. Just keep trying, after a while you might even start to enjoy that process because if you do it right, it's very peacefull. Just relax and concentrate on your breathing or whatever you use.

I also want to mention that the scary stuff is unusual and if you don't want it you probably won't get it.

I've pretty much experienced it all, except for the alien abductions. It's not the hallucinations, but the sounds that bother me sometimes.

But limo, the only way to get over the fear, is just go for it. You've got to reach that point, and go with it. If it helps, the moment you begin to have an OBE/Dream, leave your room immediately and get outside. I found that helped me a lot when I first started.

I used to have this problem with sleep paralysis I fear of seeing something that can hurt me when I felt and things these are normal just pray to the higher being that you serve and ask your guides for protection that what I did, Once I saw that there wasn't nothing to fear I stopped being afraid.

Waking sleep paralysis is technically an OBE. I never enter SP when I WILD. I can understand that hypnagogia is scary, but onc you do it enough, even if you fail, you will overcome your fear. For me, it's super hard to make light in dark dreams. Once I had an LD where I was in my room at night, and the light switch just plainly didn't work, and, despite my best efforts, I could not make light. May be different for you though...
