I don't suggest a verbilization, the mind finds it hard to ingrain such things into the sub-conscious.
Instead you should try to see yourself waking up in the night, feeling that state of mind you are usualy in when you wake up isn't as hard as you think well picturing it, and in this visualization come to the conclusion that you must stay still. Or you could actually act it out, turning out the lights in your room and keeping your eyes shut, just kind of zoning off, then come into the realization that you must stay still when you begin to become more aware after zoning off for a bit.
