      first of all just try laying on your back to get into sleep paralysis. in that position you know that it isn't blood flow problems but just sleep paralysis. next, maybe you have a natural advantage in getting into sleep paralysis where it just happens. lastly, when your appendages just go numb try "moving them" in your mind but actually feeling them moving like in real life. by lifting your body out of your physical body you can endure and instant lucid dream.

      just keep going...first your body tests itself and then starts to fall asleep...you just got to keep on. your almost there. the numbness is a good sign

      I can tell why you feel the numbness in the first place: During REM sleep, the amount of blood that flows TO the brain almost doubles. That's why when we feel SP, we feel numb. Its because we are aware that we are entering the REM state and that some of the blood in our bodies actually migrates to your brain. Thus, I have heard from a lot of people and also feel myself, when I enter SP the parts of the body that feel the numbness or tingle 1st are the feet and hands. Because these are farthest from the heart and the brain.

      But i do agree its really difficult to overcome this because it can be extremely uncomfortable.
