Can I use Dream Characters to get Lucid again??

Okay so I was thinkin. If I just got one lucid dream and I asked any DC to tell me when I am dream the next time I dream will it work?

Sooo If it worked for you tell how you did it!

The next time i go to sleep if i remember i'll try this and i'll let you know if it worked. I'll ask a dream character to help me get lucid. That is if i see a dream character because sometimes in my dreams, there's no one around unless i go over someone's house.

You can use MILD for that. Just repeat a mantra that includes a dream character telling you when you are dreaming, like: The next time I dream, X will tell me that I'm dreaming.

Little bit off topic, but it's worth it:

I think I did it wrong.
A few nights ago, I told some Dream Character she was dreaming, and then she decided what to do, and the dream ended for me.

      Yay.

      XD

The dream characters aren't dreaming. We are. They're playing with us and it's interesting to see their reaction when they realize you're conscious.

I've asked a number of them to do this for me. I'm going to beat them up next time I see them. One used to show up whenever I became lucid, obviously because the first thing I thought was, "Ach! I could've been lucid ten minutes ago if she'd shown up then!" *poof*

It may depend on how comfortable you are with the dream character, maybe how much you interact with them and how 'real' you view them. Mine were all strangers. A couple of people I know in RL tell me that I am always showing up in their lucids and telling them it's a dream, and to reality check. I guess they see me as their LD guru ( yikes), but apparently I achieve this for them. So I'd recommend finding a common dream character of yours (who also serves as a dream sign just by being there) and asking them.

I tried it. Had a lucid where I decided I was talking to my sub-conscious.
I asked him if he would pop in to remind me I was dreaming.
      He said sure.

Never showed up again as far as I can tell.

Then why are you telling them that they dream? I don't get it.

      Oh. I see now.

I failed to mention that I wasn't lucid.

It was just a normal non-lucid, and y'know in non-lucids, you do stupid things...
My stupid thing just happened to be telling other people they were dreaming :V
And I found it funny, because it was ironic xP
