      Do vivid dreams help?

Well, I've been interested in LDing for awhile, but just now starting to attempt to have them.

I've always had very vivid dreams, my whole life, but have not been able to become lucid.

I've worked on dream recall, and can remember 2-3 dreams per night.

I also have started taking melatonin, and plan to use the Lucid Remix from the Audio Aids Archive.

Anything else major I should do to help?

So far, I'd say doing random reality checks during the day has helped me the most.

Vivid dreams definitely help, and make the overall dreaming experience better, but you do have to do specific things to become lucid, usually Are you doing reality checks, keeping a dream journal, finding dream signs, and etc.?

I've kept a dream journal, and have looked for dreams signs, but whenever I see something strange, I wake up

I can usually tell within a couple of nights from the vividness, and over all feel of the dreams I'm having, when I'm about to get Lucid.

So yeah, starting with very vivid recall is a huge advantage. A lot of people start out with little or no recall and have to work their way up to it. Just be sure to question your reality as often as you can, until the questioning works it's way into your dreams. Remember, you could be dreaming at any moment.
Try to keep that thought in your mind at all times.

      And do the RC's often.

      Usually.

Something weird happens, (people walk through walls, start randomly blabbering, etc.), I stop and think for a moment and then I wake up.

      Any ways to remedy this?
