Yea my heart beat also accelerates really fast when I try to WILD.

I've only had one WILD before and ironically enough I cant remember if my heart rate increased when it happened, but I do know that everytime I try to WILD that my heart rate speeds up.

Your bpm raises because you're experiencing something you've never experienced before, atleast not consciously. If you just keep your breathing down and focus on something else, you'll be fine. It's a perfectly normal reaction by the way, I experienced the same the first time I was about to enter SP. After it had happened, I couldn't get to that point again, so I just went to bed.

I have read, somewhere on this site, that it is just a matter of perception and that your heartbeat doesn't actually rise. I'm not sure who said it, or what their sources are if they even had sources. I know that in my case it's not true, because I get so excited that my heart rate goes up so high that I can't fall asleep and I sit up and it is actually beating fast. I think the more practice you get in, the more accustomed you become to the point where hopefully you don't get excited and your pulse doesn't race.

Yeah I've had this as well. It's really hard to describe but yes I guess a head rush is quite close. It felt like another layer was being added really quickly on my head, couple of times. Or like I was getting an electric wave trough my brain.

About the heartbeat I've had it couple of times, and sometimes it even made me more awake then falling asleep. I think it went from being really excited from getting over that going over to being stressed of ruin it for being to excited.

But I think I'm getting better though

A head rush is a good way of describing it.
Like a pulse of wave that sweeps up your body.
I've read somewhere that you can feel pressure like your head is going to explode.

Yeah, it is normal. When you get close to the end of your WILD, prepare for anything. All sorts of wacky things may happen. The combination of real physical changes to your body paired with hallucinations can do some incredibly freaky things. Thats why most guides you read say something like, "Don't worry, you're not going to die! This happens every night naturally."

BTW The pins and needles seems to be a common part of getting to SP.
