      anyone else get this?

a few nights ago i was quite far into a normal dream and i was in a bus then i realised i was dreaming, so i did my RC just to check, so i became lucid and then i smashed out of the bus and flew away home (for some reason i always go home as soon as i become lucid). i had a dream goal which was to be iron man, which i did do. but the strange thing is, any time i try to be as superhero, e.g. iron man, spiderman. it always feels nothing like what i thought it would, it wasnt as fun and i kept on seeing myself from another point of view, as if i was watching myself.
that dream didnt last very long because i had already used up a lot of the REM on normal dream, which was very annoying.

      my questions are:
does anyone else get that strange feeling of watching yourself from another point of view?
also, does anyone else become lucid near the end of dream?
and how do you solve these problems?

      1. I have had that a few times in a lucid. One time while I was landing I saw myself slam into a fence While I was lucid.
      2. I've had that a couple times before Its a good way of starting off a lucid in a very stably dream.
3.I as of yet have not seen these as a problem so I haven't searched for a solution.

most lucids start off about to fail so you stabalize the dream with a few techniques. like rubbing your hands together, touching anything you can, or even just yelling out clarity a bunch of times.

Do you take a minute to just look around and realize that the dream is truly just a dream and get completely aware, or do you tend to rush off and do things, maybe compromising some of that lucidity and probably the ability to achieve dream goals the way you want them to be achieved? I am SO the latter

well it's nto even that they are about to fail. It's just best to make sure that you are as aware as possible and that the dream is as real as possible before rushing off. Doing crazy things tends to destabilize a bit, or something could happen to distract you and cause you to lose lucidity, too. Though dream stabilizing because a dream is about to end is certainly the time I use it most. Like I said, I neglect stabilization when I first get lucid and man it sucks bad bad bad Shift!

I said that wrong. I meant to say that you are generally not at the most lucid when you start off in the dream.

The RCs help but I would take a little bit to just relax, look around, marvel that everything is a dream (try not to think about your RL body though, just about how objects are dream objects and etc.)

I think this would definitely help. I mean, say you want the ironman armor (believe me I've got all this vids this is also one of my dream goals). Look down at your arm and expect the armor to be there. Shoot some nano beams from your palm before rushing off to fly around. Just get into your head, "Right now, I am dreaming. And I want to dream that I am Ironman!"

btw if you want the vids let me know, they were a pain in the ass to track down on youtube

the yelling out celerity has worked wonders for me. It usually stabilizes the dream and makes it more vivid right in front of my eyes.

If you watch it closely you can get a better understanding of how its done in the movie so you can have a more realistic dream.
