      WILDing technique for light sleepers

For the last couple of weeks I have been trying to WILD, but not succeeding. Im an insomniac, my problem was that it took too long for me to fall back asleep while staying consciously awake because it takes me like 30 + minutes for my mind to settle down enough for my body to fall asleep, noises like toilets flushing makes me start all over, so I would end up giving up(easy to do early in the morning). So I tried to incorporate pain to keep my conscious side awake but then I couldn't fall asleep, even crossing my feet became annoying enough(yea yea.. mind over matter, too bad im bad at focusing) that I ended having to uncross them and start over the process of falling asleep.
This morning though I ended up WILDing even though I wasint trying to. I woke up from a nightmare about an hour and half before I was planning to get up, and getting back to sleep was a bitch. Light was coming through the blinds and some construction was happening so after a couple minutes I was like fuck it and through a light blanket over my face to keep the light out and turned my fan on. Its not too easy to fall asleep with a blanket over your face, but I didnt really have a choice. Next thing I remember was that I was like "Hey look im falling asleep" because all the light coming from my eyelids was tweaking out. When I entered the dream I started to play along for a couple seconds until I was like wait, Im under covers so this is me dreaming. After going lucid I had a blast levitating and reversing gravity, but then I woke up again. I woke up, looked at the covers and was like shit go back to bed and closed my eyes. So I reentered the dream state really quickly and was aware that I was doing so because of this "blanket aid." (I think I might have woken up a third time, but I had a really long lucid dream using passive control so I dont remember much.) The blanket was really light, so my bet is I can do it again tonight using just sheets. I think that it was my eyelashes touching it during my rapid eye movement because it was very easy to stay connected(like I said, I woke and fell right back asleep and still stayed concious.) Hope this works for other people, good luck.

Cool idea. I hope it works again for you tonight It seems the strangest things can end up making or breaking a WILD attempt.
