      is this going to work?

i was thinking about doing this to get a lucid dream easier.

i will listen to a certain song often (the day that never comes by metallica) and each time i listen to it ill do constant reality checks. after doing that a few times so it sinks in, ill put my psp on a few tracks before it then when im asleep that song will come on and i will hopefuly by habit do an RC.

does anyone think this should work or if its at least worth a try

It will work, but like with all reality check techniques, it'll take alot of work to get yourself into the habit of doing the check every time you hear the song. Its worth a try if you often find yourself dreaming and hearing the song. Before you try attaching a reality check to the song, you should play the song quite a few times, probably a week or 2 while you sleep, and see if the song even registers in your dream.

I think RCs should not be seen as work but as a past time which the person enjoys doing.

i cant be bothered doing that, im fine with using up time for nothing if it doesnt work.

by the way just so you know the reason i picked that song is because every time i was reading about lucid dreaming i would always end up listening to it, so every time i hear it, LDs come straight to mind

But, how often do you hear it in your dreams? Thats the question you need to ask. Thats why other reality checks work. Its because they are attached to actions that are often done in the dream. If you never hear the song in your dreams, then attaching a reality check to it is pointless because you'll never have the opportunity to do the reality check.

For instance, if you find yourself always seeing a particular person in your dream. Then in the waking world, you should always do a reality check when you see that person. Since you often see them in your dream, the odds of doing your reality check are greatly improved.

no i dont think you understand, i will listen to my music on my psp while falling asleep, so that when im asleep that song will come on and my real ears will hear it then trigger me subconsiously to do an RC in the dream
