      Practical WILD techniques

So, I find WILD is the most interesting technique for lucid dreaming. Here are some things I'm pretty sure are aids in this technique:

      - sleeping on my back - observing my thoughts and visuals without "following" them - intending to lucid b4 sleeping, then relaxing - sleeping on a harder mattress or thin cushon on hard floor - wearing a dreaming pendant (as an awareness thing or practice of intent) - assuming that dreaming happens every night and I should "wake" up to it

I've also been wondering about my head facing different cardinal directions

I'd like to hear your comments on these techniques and would also appreciate hearing about whatever helps you WILD

      thx

That's great.. I needed a few things to concentrate on lately... I definitely need to start observing my thoughts more before I even attempt to WILD, and then especially do it close to falling asleep.

That is exactly what I do, and if I don't end up with a WILD (which I usually don't) then I'll have a DILD maybe 90% of the times I'd say. It all seems to have to do with how much effort I put into it.

One problem I have is that when I sleep on my back I usually get a pain in my side eventually. It's not so much a problem though, because sometimes it gives me awareness that I have sometimes lost during the process (an unconscious anchor). At that time I turn to my side/stomach and I'm so close to falling asleep it's almost like DEILDing sometimes.

I found the best way to WILD.

Is to sleep on the floor on my back.

I cant sleep on my back, however if i lay on my sides i goto sleep right away.

So i stay on my back because its uncomfortable.

If i didn't try to WILD on my back, i would just fall asleep hehe.

Also i personally sleep on the floor all the time anyways or on my couch.

I mainly lay down on my back and stay still and start thinking about "Sexy" things

That way i can keep my mind off of my body trying to get me to move or itch myself. I just make sure i don't let go of my awareness of where im at.

Ive yet to have a WILD right before bed however. The best time for me to WILD is after i been up for a good 24 hours and im tired. Its best for me to WILD in the day time, because its easier to stay aware in the day time for me
