      Need some help...

I've been beginning to have lucid dreams lately, but very quick. As soon as I realize I'm dreaming, something goes wrong, and I wake up.

What's the first thing I should do after I realize I'm dreaming?

Stabalize the dream with the hand rubbing technique or touch something for a minute.

the way to stabilize a dream can change from person to person. I personally find that the hand rub actually decreases the clairity of my dreams. I look around and spin in order to stabilize.
      Pardon me while I burn,
      and rise above the flames.

Stare at any particular object in the dream. That will keep you from waking up or from bouncing into another dream.
