      yoga bells every 15 mins

      hello all

a couple of days ago a CD id bought on ebay arrived. it is an hour of ocean ambience with a ting of a yoga bell every 15 mins (ie it sounds like somone very lightly tapping ona triangle).

i only wanted the ocean ambience, i was quite anoyed at first about the bells, but one night the yoga bells tinged just as i was entering a later stage of sleep and it gave the the exact same feeling of waking up from a sleep paralysis.
i jsut let the CD cycle throughout the night.

so what do you chaps think, could this be used to trigger a WILD, is 15 mins a good time frame in between each ting (because if not i can edit on some editing software to change that).
what are the stages of sleep and at what stage would this ting sound be best (if it is good at all).

just wondering what some of you guys thought

Well, what originally came to mind was a NovaDreamer(I think thats what they are called). Its kinda like glasses that you wear, and they flash lights into your eyes while dreaming, its supposed to help you get lucid since it is a sure-fire dream sign.

You could tell your self to do a reality check every time you heard the bell. (This would cause DILDs)

      For WILDs, I don't know.
      Bollocks.

      I have a Wave Studio.
In other words can manipulate any music/song.
Can cut bits out, repeat bits, add silence, fade out, pretty much endless.
Let me know if anyone needs anything adjusted, will just need the Mp3/wave file.
      REALITY CHECK

hmmmm, sounds interesting about the reality checks Delphinus, there is just a wee problem.
this beach ambience music is what i use to to go to sleep and thats all, i want this ambience to be a que for me to go to sleep because it often takes me a long time to get to sleep.
the reality check thing sounds great, but i would need to listen to this ambience during the day, which would make it less of a sleep que?

and dream chaser, thanks for offering to edit, but i got final cut pro

I downloaded a yoga bell onto my MP3.

Every ten minutes just a quick ting.

The file is only ten minutes long and can be set on a route.
The MP3 can also be set to shut down after an hour.

Its a great way of keeping track of WILD attempts, and knowing when to give up.

You could seperate the bell sound from the ambience file and just listen to that during the day!

      That could work...

hehe, that would be funny, walk around with headphones all day and when i hear a ting, imidiatly drop what im doing and plug my nose.

i suppose i could raise the volume of the tings loads and turn the main volume down, so i wouldnt hear the ocean, just the ting, and have it playing all day on my PC.

ill let you know how it goes

Ok. Otherwise, you could add the bell tone into your mp3 player/computer play lists... That way, you could be doing your thing and then just quickly poke your hand or hold your nose.
      Bollocks.
