It's better to do RCs when a 'signal' is activated like when find yourself in the bathroom or using the toilet or when you switch on the bathroom light. I find it's more effective to prime the mind during the daytime eg. taking note that you will be using the bathroom light switch to 'trigger' an RC during WBTB but not actually doing an RC. By doing this you don't tire the mind and during WBTB it'll be like the first time you do an RC with the 'signal'..genuine and when it's genuine it has a higher chance of entering the dream when you go back to sleep.
