      Alternative Reality Checks

I came up with 2 RC ideas now. I'll be trying them and I'd like if someone else also tries. New ideas, improvements are welcomed too.

      1) Nose RC: Try to see your nose. We can see a part of our nose but it's usually something we don't pay attention to and I don't remember seeing my nose in my dreams (like a movie). So this might work.

      2) Question RC: I'll be asking this several times a day: "Is this a dream?" expecting dream/objects/someone to answer. Since there are endless possible answers which are most likely unlogical this could be a good sign.

To me any way to RC is actually dream incubation. You are incubating the dream to be a lucid one when one of the criteria is met. But then there's the other part, the determining part..if the criteria is not met you are not dreaming...Y put that there? Might as well think of something that will trigger the dream of choice by itself. Like before you sleep during WBTB think of lucid related thoughts or go to lucid dreaming sites...it's more efficient than doing checks.

Why not just use the conventional methods? They are much more solid and give you an exact answer whether you're dreaming or not.

If you ask a dream character if you are dreaming he could very well say "No! what are you? stupid?"

I don't know if it's like that for anyone else but no conventional method has worked for me so far. With a few exceptions all my dreams sticks to physical laws unless I alter them myself. People, places and other details are really realistic to be used as reality checks in my dreams. They are weird at times but they don't get weirder than they can get in real life. I have gotten lucid like 4 times only but neither is triggered by a reality check as far as I remember..It just happened, leaving me unable to tell what just happened before "getting lucid moment"

When I am non or semi lucid, DCs always deny it is a dream. But when I am fully lucid, they always ask me to help them by using my lucid powers! (EX: Last night I turned a mirror into a portal to the underground parking lot for my DC Grandma, because she lives on the 18th floor of a skyscraper, and can't do that many flights of stairs.

I love DEILD! SP is pwnage!
