Exclamation How to get through HI

Okay so i can get into SP and begin to see HI, then it gets to the point where my thoughts just start shooting off randomly and i cant control them even if i try. Then i find myself struggling to remain awake while all this is happening. Most of the time i just wake up in the middle of the night or the next morning with another chance missed to have an LD Any tips that help keep me awake through this and get into a dream?

Focus on a sound such as an annoying furnace fan which needs to be fixed.... Ahem.

..uh yeah, just try focusing on a sound that should help.

Alright thanks i will try that tonight, so i should use the fan as like an anchor? I've heard about anchors before but never really understood what one was or how to "launch" it as they say

I don't really know about pain anchroing but just focus on the noise, and allow yourself only a small amount of curiosity towards the random thoughts you will think/hear.

P.S. Try to not look at the HI directly (I find that it will keep you suspended between awake and asleep) and instead focus on the random images you should start to see appear. If you see something that looks like its "really there", try to ignore it long as possible. If it dissapears, it disappears, don't worry too much about it. Stay passive and you should enter a dream.

Alright thanks for the tips that seems to be the stage where i always get stuck. But i guess the trick is just relaxing and staying aware while it does its thing lol

That's neat, I've never thought of using a sound. I mean I've always just kinda looked passed it, but now that I think about it I could see this helping me in this sense too. I feel my thoughts get really random and sometimes I can feel the dips in and out of consciousness, but not for long before I either wake back up or fall asleep. I've never really tried too hard to do this, I've mainly just been relying on DILDs.
