How much time & effort toh have a LD?

How much time did it take you to have your first lucid dream? And what was the technique that helped you most? Or what combination of technique was it?

And when did you manage to have lucid dreams regularly? By regularly I mean, once or twice a week.

Well, I'm a natural, so I don't even remember my first lucid.

But, I can tell you what anyone should do.

Use all the time you can on LDing. Use whatever technique will fit your sleeping schedule best.

And become obsessed with LDing. Thats the best way to have them commonly and effectively.
      Bollocks.

Very little, my first one was a natural. After that, it took me a couple of years to come across the right info (*cough*Dreamviews*cough*) but once I had joined I was reality checking and DJing and very very quickly could have one or two DILDs a week, plus more by using the DEILD technique when I woke up from them and chaining my lucids.

I heard somewhere that it should take you about 3/4 weeks after you start trying too. Just keep doing reality checks and don't forget to ask yourself if are dreaming with doing one.

I have been doing this naturally since I can remember. I had a bunch of DILD's
if you can read this then you are about to be punched

It could happen five minutes after you hear about lucid dreaming when you lay down to take a nap, or five years later.

yup took me about that long after my first accidental lucid in which I happened to accidentally do a hand RC (I have read about the novaDreamer around 5 years prior to that so my mind somehow made it abundantly clear to me once I saw my deformed hand that I was dreaming even though I wasn't trying to lucid dream and had in fact forgotten about it). After a few weeks of trying was able to LD more or less regularly.
TAKE DV members advice with caution! some have had zero or 1-2 LD's yet act like gurus
      TOTAL LD's (almost all DILD/MILD) =160!!
