Question How close am I to WILD?

Ok, so basically i've been lurking around this site for about a month now looking for tips about Lucid dreaming (which I've never achieved yet) . I haven't been doing reality checks, but I have been keeping a dream journal, because the technique i've been focused on is WILDing. I feel i've been getting closer and closer, and feel that I am getting better at relaxing - i've also finally solved the problem of swallowing; just not thinking about it.

The only problem is that the closest i've ever got is to the point where your body starts to go almost completely numb (SP), your heart is racing, and you start to see all the HI and HH, but that's it. I haven't achieved any lucidity, and I haven't even achieved full-on SP yet, so the questions i'm asking are: how close am I to attaining SP and Lucidity, and do you have any tips on how I should proceed?

---- Thanks in advance to any answers ----

Is anyone going to answer my question? I'm going to bed soon, and I really want to have my first Lucid.

It sounds like you are extremely close. Now you just have to take the final plunge, and enter the dream. Check out Clairity's guide for some tips on how to do that:

Of course, there are a million different ways to do it. Just make sure your timing is right, and that you are close to a REM cycle. If you don't have a REM dream to enter, it can be pretty hard to have a successful WILD. Make sure you are doing this after a few hours of sleep, or during a nap when you know you will hit a dream. Not when you first go to sleep at night.
